Russia is testing its own Internet

Russia has started to test a national Internet. The advancement of the project is still uncertain and little information has leaked so far. Even though according to President Vladimir Putin, this local Internet was only created as a defensive move, it is clear that this project aims to have a full control over the use of the Internet by the Russian population.

The city of Liège is shutting down its Wi-Fi

For more than 5 years now, the citizens of Liège have enjoyed free Wi-Fi all around the city. But this is about to come to an end as the city has decided to shut it down once and for all. There are a few reasons to explain the decision. Namely the fact that the technology is outdated compared to the 4G and the upcoming 5G. Furthermore, the network is often saturated, and in the end, the maintenance costs are just not worth it anymore.

YouTube will help content creators deal with copyright issues

YouTube has developed a new solution for content creators to help them deal with copyright infringements in an easier way. The new tool, “Assisted Trim” will identify and highlight the exact portion of the video that has been flagged with a copyright claim. It will also help video creators to remove the identified problematic part of the video themselves which will, in turn, resolve the copyright claim.

For the first time in the history of mankind researchers have been able to teleport information from point A to point B without these two points being connected. And it was instantaneous! This technology could revolutionize telecommunications or even the health field if we manage to master it.
