TikTok banned in the US?

On the 6th of July, US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo announced that the United States of America were considering banning TikTok and other Chinese apps. This protectionist move is a direct consequence of the rising tension between the 2 countries. This could be a significant blow for TikTok, while the company does its best to cut its Chinese ties.

Save your battery by using Google Chrome 86

Known to be energy-consuming, Google Chrome has finally found a solution to remedy this problem. The solution they found is to restrict non-essential JavaScript timers within the background with a purpose to save battery from draining too quick. This would allow users to enjoy two extra hours of autonomy.

According to the world’s largest brand equity database BrandZ, Amazon is currently the most valuable brand in the world. Valued at 415,9 billion dollars, Amazon is ahead of Apple ($352,2 billion) and Microsoft ($326,5 billion). Overall, tech brands dominate the ranking. 5 brands from the tech sector take place in the top 10 of this ranking.
