Sega back in the game?

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Sega unveils a new console; the GameGear Micro. At 8 centimetres wide, 4.3 centimetres high and 2 centimetres wide, the new GameGear Micro is half the size of the original 1990 console. A surprising format that raises questions in terms of ergonomics. Playing on such a small console won't be very easy, especially since its screen is particularly small (1.15 inches). The GameGear Micro will be launched on October 6 in Japan.

Trump vs social media

Use Twitter to alert Twitter and other social media companies with a 'lock-down'. U.S. President Donald Trump did it. According to him, Twitter would undermine freedom of speech. It is almost unthinkable that this conflict has not been going on for much longer. And that would be on both sides, because Twitter will not label tweets as misleading just like that.

The ‘Tiktok’ for kids

Like many parents, Zigazoo founder Zak Ringelstein worries about his children’s screen time. Zigazoo is a free app where kids can answer short video-based exercises that they can answer through video and share responses with friends. To ensure the app’s privacy, Ringelstein says that parents should be the primary users of the app. Users have to accept a friend request in order for their content to be seen, a move Ringelstein sees as key to avoiding bad actors or potential bullying.

Black out tuesday

The idea was to fill social media platforms with black squares, freeing up the time usually dedicated to social media for people to educate themselves on the Black Lives Matter movement. The campaign hit a slight bump in the road early on Tuesday with many people using the hashtags dedicated to Black Lives Matter. This clogged up feeds meant for information related to protests around the world, which is something organisers were understood to be keen to avoid.
