System Administrator and IT Support

Location: Souverain 25/Mix (Watermael-Boitsfort), Brussels, Belgium

🎯  Your Challenge:  

Within the Tech department at Auxipress, we are looking for a motivated System Administrator and IT Support specialist, service-oriented and technically curious, to join our dynamic team. 

In this versatile role, you will contribute to the management and evolution of our IT infrastructure while providing high-quality support to our internal users. You will work in close collaboration with an experienced System Administrator, who will support your development and share expertise across various aspects of systems administration and IT operations. 

This position represents an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills within a diverse technological environment, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the company’s IT services. 

⚡ Your responsibilities  

• Assist in the administration, monitoring and maintenance of servers, workstations, network components and core IT systems, under the guidance of the experienced System Administrator. 

• Participate in system operations such as updates, patch management, backups, basic monitoring, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. 

• Manage day-to-day user administration tasks, including account creation, access rights, permissions, onboarding and offboarding support. 

• Provide IT support to internal users for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, business applications and connectivity issues. 

• Install, configure and maintain IT equipment such as laptops, desktops, smartphones, printers and standard software. 

• Support IT security practices such as endpoint protection, MFA, password policies, device compliance and user awareness. 

• Document procedures, recurring issues and solutions in the internal knowledge base, and contribute to user manuals when needed.

🗣 Your Profile 

• You have a bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent, and you are looking to develop your skills in system administration and IT infrastructure. 
• You have a first experience or strong interest in system administration, including servers, workstations, networks, backups, monitoring, security and Microsoft 365 environments. 
• You are comfortable troubleshooting common hardware, software, connectivity and user access issues, and you are willing to support internal users when needed. 
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and standard workplace tools. Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, virtualization or scripting is a strong plus. 
• You are curious, eager to learn and motivated to grow with the support of an experienced System Administrator already in place. 
• You have a structured way of working, attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. 
• You are a team player, service-minded and solution-oriented, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users. 
• You have good communication skills and are proficient in French. Knowledge of English and Dutch is a plus. 

🚀 Your technical skills 

• Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite. 

• Knowledge of Windows Server and the principles of system administration. 

• Understanding of Active Directory: users, groups, access rights, permissions and account organisation. 

• Good grounding in networking: IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, Wi-Fi and connectivity diagnostics. 

• Experience with virtualisation, servers, storage and infrastructure operations.   

• Experience with Nutanix AHV is an advantage.  

• Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language is an advantage. 

• Basic knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes or DevOps environments is an advantage. 

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or Elasticsearch is an advantage. 

• Ability to work in a hybrid environment combining traditional, legacy infrastructure and more modern technologies.
